Orchid Grower:

The Eric Young Orchid Foundation is looking for an Orchid Grower. This person will be a professional horticulturalist responsible for maintaining and caring for a portion of the orchid collection at EYOF. The Orchid Grower will be assigned one to two greenhouses to care for, containing approximately 3,000 – 5,000 plants each, and will be responsible for watering, fertilizing, repotting, and maintaining all the plants assigned to them as well as the greenhouse space with excellence. They will report to the Greenhouse Manager and constitute a part of the Greenhouse Team. This person will be a trained and experienced orchid grower, able to effectively communicate their orchid knowledge with others and participate in the representation of the Foundation on a global scale.

Administrative Assistant:

The Eric Young Orchid Foundation is seeking an Administrative Assistant to facilitate the numerous administrative and clerical duties necessary for smooth operations on a daily basis. This person will be responsible for receiving all incoming phone calls, managing deliveries, and overseeing paperwork filing on a daily basis. They will also manage all scheduling, for internal meetings, school group visits, tour group visits, and travel. A number of miscellaneous daily or intermittent tasks may also fall under their purview, such as enacting computer updates, assisting in the writing of grants, high level correspondences, managing material donations, the digitisation of files, and running small errands. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role promises to be exciting and has the capacity to grow and develop with the person chosen in time. This person reports directly to the Administrator and Curator.
